People are numb to radio commercials, so we haven’t bombarded pdx.fm listeners with tired and ultimately ineffective 15 minutes commercial breaks. Instead, we want to give you, the advertiser and small business owner, the opportunity to have your message heard by an audience that actually cares about what you’re selling.
pdx.fm has a loyal listener base of well over 10,000 Portlanders per day. Our listeners are unique and they’re listening to pdx.fm because they’ve chosen to, not because they settled for what they’ve found on the radio dial. A listener has to decide to visit pdx.fm and a good percentage of them listen all day long or download more than 50% of our shows to listen later.
We’ve worked hard to create shows with hosts that people care about and identify with and we want to help you sell products and services that believe in and would use ourselves.
Audio Advertising on pdx.fm
Audio advertising is a great and affordable way to reach your audience, especially if you own a local small business or have an event coming up. Not only can you have your audio heard through the live stream everyday, it can also be placed into a shows podcast, so your ad is heard even if listeners weren’t able to listen live.
Here are some of the details:
We have 30 and 60 second audio spots available throughout the day from the half hour to the top of the hour, in between shows. Between show ads are not embedded in podcasts but play more frequently throughout the broadcast day.
Individual show audio spots are also available. Pricing on a per show basis depends on show audience, please inquire for details at contact@pdx.fm.
- 15 or 30 second audio spot – top of the show
- 15 or 30 second audio spot – middle of the show
- 15 or 30 second mention – middle of the show or segment sponsorship
- 15 or 30 second audio spot – end of the show
All live shows are converted to podcasts and are available on iTunes, and on the respective shows website, within a few hours of live airing. All audio ads will remain in the podcasts indefinitely.

Web Advertising on pdx.fm
With thousands of unique visitors to pdx.fm each day, you have a chance to reach a broad audience in a variety of ways. Not only do we provide the opportunity to advertise on the main pdx.fm website, you can also have your ad displayed on our iPhone Mobile Player. With over 1/2 of our audience listening to the stream using an iPhone, iPod Touch, or other mobile devices, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to have your ad displayed – head on over to pdx.fm on your iPhone to see what we are talking about.
Here are some technical specs for web advertising:
- In most cases, advertising is offered in 1 week slots.
- Logos and artwork to be used must be provided by advertiser.
- Deadline for art submission is one week prior to the scheduled run.
- Ad pricing does not include creation of ads.
- Standard formats accepted for ad artwork are PNG and JPG. We do not accept and display Flash ads – sorry.
- Image resolution should be 72 pixels per inch and RGB color.
