Baconfest Raises 865 lbs. of Canned Food
The 2009 Portland Baconfest is over and was quite a bit more successful than we were expecting. With an estimated attendance of nearly 1,600 people gathering at East Burn to experience all things bacon last weekend, Baconfest managed to raise 865 lbs. of food for the Oregon Food Bank – over 3x the expected amount – in fact, we raised so much food that we ran out of barrel space.
Thank you to everyone that made a donation and we look forward to seeing you again next year at the 2010 Portland Baconfest.
