Schedule? What’s That?
We’ve said it before. We’re new at all of this.
One of the most frequent requests we get here at PDX.FM is that we post a larger program schedule that gives our listeners one of those fancy “at a glance” views of what’s coming up instead of just the daily schedule on the sidebar of the site.
Currently, the PDX.FM show line up is changing pretty rapidly across both channels and we’re constantly looking to add new shows that we think you might be interested in. We’re a small operation and we’re working with a lot of people that have day jobs so it hasn’t been prudent to create a month long schedule just yet because sometimes things change week to week, and sometimes the schedules change in the middle of the day (we do what we can to avoid it but it happens).
Rest assured though, we’re working on it.

Uh, pardon my bluntness, but as “Dr. Laura” once lamented, when one has a short time to say something one feels may be helpful, bluntness has its virtues; there is no excuse for not having a better schedule.
I read about pdx.fm in The Oregonian, and immediately “Googled” it so that I could find out when some of the shows mentioned would be broadcast.
I don’t care if you are new. I don’t care if you run your business out of your living room. With unemployment at record levels in this area, you won’t convince me you can’t find someone to do a weekly schedule that can be fine-tuned as things develop. You could probably make a PCC student a nice sandwich and pay them a day’s wage.
I hope to see a schedule someday, as your ideas seem fresh, intelligent, and inspired.
